Morning All, how did Friday nights performance go I hear you ask, well its building nicely for the finale of our three night run this evening.

Once again the audience were fully immersed and I would say enjoying the songs, well either that or the refreshments at the bar added to the atmosphere!

I'll let you into a little secret, being one of the more senior members , you can guess who the oldest is but I just love seeing the confidence, talent and friendships grow in this group.

Watching the kids is such a pleasure and those little kids who are now teenagers are stepping up and doing their thing. The next generation of Pretenders is in safe hands! I'm sure we will continue for many more years yet, oh no you won't, oh yes we will..... is it too early for a panto plug!

Anyway if the last two nights are anything to go by tonight is going to be a smash hit!

There are a few tickets remaining as Saturday night is always the big one, so if not grab a ticket, if you have been already come back again, bring your voices, smiles and get involved as these kids rock, with a little bit of grey hair to back them up, see you all later.

And once again after much laughter and hard work the the show must end.

This year being extra special as it was the 20th Anniversary of panto with the The Wyrley Pretenders which takes some doing!

Saturday night was fabulous with backstage being such a buzz of excitement, this may have had something to do with the sugar being consumed but over 2,000 photos were taken so you can guess what it was like! having two shows in a day can be a challenge but everyone rose to it including you the audience!

Close to 1,000 Pretenders supporters came along to kick off their Christmas festivities and we thank every one of you, some coming more than once! Oh yes they did!

To front of house, sound & lighting, back stage crew, costumes, scene builders, the cast and our society directors every effort was made to put on a panto for you all to enjoy.

Please keep one eye on the updates as our next show will be coming in May 2025.

 Ok so our 3 night run of 'Thankyou For The Musicals 2' has finished and its both a sad and happy time as following what was a stressful few days the actual show nights were epic. 

The audiences on all three nights were fantastic, I don't think you realise sometimes the energy you give has a massive impact on the cast, especially the kids who I suspect are all still on the ceiling!

Again this show pushed us hard and maybe one or two were feeling it, I was! But to see the results when the curtain opened, the lights came on and the music started was amazing, to say it blew us all away is an understatement.

Plenty of smiles, cheer, laughter and tears and that was just me so with that I wish you all a fantastic summer and see you later in the year for what is a HUGE milestone for 'The Wyrley Pretender's' as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary performance with the pantomime 'Cinderella'.

Once again thankyou the audience for continuing to support The Wyrley Pretenders, and we look forward to seeing you all soon x

Wow after four fantastic shows this years panto has come to the end of the yellow brick road! Ah I hear you say, sadder than that.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, see what I did there!

The feedback has made it all worthwhile and with a cast including several youngsters (and one not so young) performing for the first time what a success it was!

How do you describe our final performance on Saturday night as once again the audience response gave us the energy to raise the bar once more..............

The kids were buzzing and along with the rest of the cast giving it there all one last time resulted in us smashing the tunes!

As with all shows there comes a time when it has to end and it was an emotional night, the efforts of all involved were huge as this show was a massive challenge for all.
